Biomass as a Source of Renewable Energy in Spain: A Case Study in Regulating Renewable Energy

摘要

This paper examines how, in Andalusia, the installation of plants producingbiomass or processing electricity from renewable energies could conform to the publicinterest actions in Article 42 of the Andalusian Town Planning Act; and how the AndalusianDraft of Renewable Energies and Saving and Energy Efficiency proposes working outterritorial plans for renewable energies for specific areas, where those zones enjoying the bestconditions for the usage of these energies will be defined, specifying in each case thepreferred renewable energy sources and their potential.
